Plant biostimulants as natural alternatives to synthetic auxins in strawberry production: physiological and metabolic insights

Summary: The growing demand for high-quality strawberries necessitates innovative agricultural practices to improve yield and fruit quality. Natural biostimulants like bacterial filtrate, vegetal-derived protein hydrolysate, and synthetic auxin can be used to enhance strawberry production. Agronomic trials show that SA and BF enhance early fruit yield, while PH treatment promotes prolonged fruit set and increased shoot biomass. Fruit quality analysis shows PH-treated fruits have increased firmness and soluble solids content. This research offers insights for optimizing strawberry production.
